Once you get in our vehicle virtually everything is covered - meals, lodging, park fees, etc.  Tips and some top-shelf alcoholic drinks are not included depending on what level lodging you select.


This is one of the beauties of your safari.  We will give you several options based on your budget and then book what you select in that class.


This is your safari.  You ultimately decide how many will be on the trip/in each vehicle.


We only use customized stretch Toyota Land Cruisers for all trips.


June to October (All parks), January to February (Serengeti for the wildebeest calving)


June to October (Little to no rainfall).


March to May (Peak of the Wet season) - usually.


July to March (Northern circuit parks; all get crowded), June to October (Southern and Western circuit parks; only Nyerere gets crowded).


April and May (Many lodges are closed in the Southern and Western circuit parks).


It is best to consult your primary care physician to get an assessment based on your health status.


Tips are highly personal and based on your individual experiences.  Tips are part of the safari culture in Tanzania and are always appreciated.  Our guides will work extremely hard for you, keep you safe, explain/answer all things/any question, and will provide service with a wide smile and humor.

We currently recommend $30/day for a photography safari and $25/day for a general safari if you are pleased.

For camp staff we recommend $10/day/person if you are pleased.


Yes!  Safaris are generally extremely safe.  Follow the rules and you will be just fine.


Bottom line is you can wear anything you want that is respectful and modest.  We do, however, recommend earth tones in the gray/beige/khaki shades and that you avoid blues, blacks, and purple as they attract certain biting bugs.
